Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel with a 54-year history of breaking boundaries, today announced that the final episode of EMBARK \u2013 the Series, \u201cAdventure Awaits,\u201d will premiere on Friday, October 1st<\/sup> , 2021 at www.ncl.com\/embark<\/a> and Facebook.<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The five-part docuseries chronicling the Company\u2019s return to cruise journey comes to an end in this final episode following NCL\u2019s Great Cruise Comeback from the U.S.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In \u201cAdventure Awaits,\u201d viewers get a front row seat to the West Coast debut of the Brand\u2019s newest innovative ship Norwegian Encore when she commences her first season of cruises to Alaska.\u00a0 The history making journey begins in Seattle, where NCL pioneered voyages to Alaska 21 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time in 17 months, the Company\u2019s dedicated shipboard team welcomes guests back on board, eager to deliver the extraordinary NCL experiences travelers have missed most.\u00a0 From the elevated culinary offerings, industry leading attractions and Broadway and West End-caliber entertainment, viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at how NCL delivers on its commitment to providing safe and unparalleled vacations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom the beginning, we wanted to bring guests along on our Great Cruise Comeback journey,\u201d said Harry Sommer, president and chief executive officer of <\/strong>Norwegian Cruise Line<\/strong>.<\/a>\u00a0 \u201cGiven the level of uncertainty over the last several months many of us have been through, we wanted to reassure travelers that we were doing everything possible to provide the safest vacation experience, while also taking the time to elevate the onboard offerings.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through EMBARK \u2013 The Series we were able to demonstrate exactly how we were delivering on our commitment.\u00a0 This final episode is filled with so many emotions\u2026and what comes through loud and clear is how excited guests and our crew are to be back out at sea with us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norwegian Cruise Line restarted its cruise operations on July 25, 2021 following a more than 500-day suspension, with Norwegian Jade launching seven-day itineraries to the\u00a0Greek Isles<\/a>. Norwegian Encore became the first ship in the NCL fleet to return to cruising from the U.S. on Aug. 7, 2021 and is currently sailing her inaugural season of week-long Alaska<\/a> voyages from Seattle.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Aug. 15, 2021, Norwegian Gem was the first ship in the fleet to resume operations from Miami and set sail from the new Norwegian Cruise Line Terminal at PortMiami with a selection of week-long voyages to the\u00a0Caribbean<\/a>\u00a0and four-day cruises to the\u00a0Bahamas<\/a>. Norwegian Epic restarted from Barcelona on Sept. 5, 2021 offering seven-day voyages through Oct. 24, 2021 to the Western Mediterranean<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most recently, the Company relaunched Norwegian Getaway on Sept. 13, 2021 from Rome, where she will sail a mix of 10- to 11-day Greek Isles itineraries through Oct. 25, 2021.\u00a0 Additional ships are scheduled to restart in North America as the fall progresses.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fleetwide redeployment will continue in partnership with local governments and are guided by the robust protocols of the Company’s SailSAFE\u2122 health and safety program, which at its cornerstone includes that all crew and guests must be fully vaccinated to embark for voyages through Dec. 31, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working with the leading experts of the SailSAFE Global Health and Wellness Council, the robust protocols will be regularly\u00a0evaluated and modified as needed, making science-based decisions to protect guests, crew and the destinations it visits.
